If you’re ready to discover your leadership potential and define your role as a global citizen, then HOBY’s World Leadership Congress is the place for you!
HOBY's annual international youth leadership event, The WLC is a dynamic leadership program that brings together over 450 students (or "ambassadors" as we like to call them here at HOBY) from across the U.S. and around the globe for eight outstanding days of leadership, discovery, service and fun in Chicago this summer.
Participating students have the opportunity to engage with thought-leaders in a wide variety of fields. You’ll participate in hands-on leadership learning and activities in addition to service opportunities throughout the week. After the week long program, you will leave inspired and motivated to articulate and accomplish your goals as well as make a positive difference in your local and global community.
HOBY’s World Leadership Congress is designed to allow you to discover your own personal leadership potential while becoming a responsible and responsive global citizen.
The 2017 WLC will be held July 22-29 at Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, IL, USA. There is an optional Post-WLC Tour of Chicago available to students who wish to stay on and see the sights of Chicago at the conclusion of the program. The dates for the tour are July 29 to July 31, 2017.
The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) has placed the WLC on its National Advisory List of Student Contests and Activities for 2016-2017.
