January 4 – 11, 2017 Dominican RepublicHOBY has partnered again with EF College Study Tours to provide HOBY Volunteers, Alumni, Friends and Family with a unique immersion service opportunity. In 2017 HOBY will return to the Dominican Republic for a week of service, which is sure to be a life-changing experience for anyone who participates.
What’s special about our Global Citizenship Program is that it is open to anyone age 18 and over interested in participating in a true immersion service experience. We will stay in a small, rural community in the DR and spend the week getting to know the community members, working side by side with the people who live in the community providing them assistance on projects that the community identifies and coordinates with our service partner.
There is a minimum requirement of twelve participants for this program to occur.

March 10 - 20, 2017PeruHOBY has partnered with Education First to provide high school students with a once-in-a-lifetime learning and leadership adventure.
Join us as we travel to Peru to explore global citizenship in a changing world. We’ll spend time learning the history of this region including the Inca Empire, visiting Inca ruins, learning how local artisans are maintaining their ancient traditions in a world that is constantly changing. We’ll spend two days conducting community service projects with a local service partner in a community near Ollantaytambo before moving on to visit the “Lost City of the Inca”, Machu Picchu. Dating back to 1450, this sacred location is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been listed as one of the “New” Seven Wonders of the World. Finally, we’ll head back to Lima where we’ll participate in a two day leadership conference, The Global Student Leaders Summit before heading back to the United States.
